I am Stefan, or the green guide as they call me.
Welcome to Stockholm, my beloved city! But let me share a little secret with you—I was born in Västerås, a charming town just 94 km from this vibrant capital. My love affair with Stockholm began when I was a mere five years old, and the memories of that day remain etched in my heart.
After completing my education, I embarked on a thrilling journey as a tour guide that took me far and wide across Europe and Asia. For 25 incredible years, I roamed the globe, sharing the beauty of different cultures and places with fellow travelers. However, when I turned 49, I decided to make Stockholm my permanent home, drawn back to the city that had captured my heart as a child.
In my free time, you'll often find me exploring new destinations, sometimes with dear friends, and other times reveling in the freedom of solo travel. I have an insatiable appetite for knowledge and love to dive into the pages of a good book. Museums are my playground, and discovering new restaurants is a delightful adventure. Dining with others is a sacred ritual for me, a moment of camaraderie where we exchange not only tastes and aromas but also stories, interests, and memories.
Now, let me be your guide to this incredible city, Stockholm. I can't wait to meet you and share with you the magic and wonder of this place I call home. Together, we'll embark on an unforgettable journey filled with culture, history, and delicious discoveries. Welcome to Stockholm—I look forward to our adventure together!

This is a really nice coastal walk not too far from the heart of the city. Vinterviken is in the south of Stockholm and easily reached by public transport, or if you have a car there’s free parking. There’s a gorgeous big cafe called Winterviken with lots of outdoor seating.

The average Swede eats 316 cinnamon buns per year! In Sweden, 'fika' is an essential part of everyday life. In fact, it's so sacred that two coffee breaks per day are an unwritten rule in many Swedish workplaces. And, while newcomers to Sweden are often sceptical about fika at first, many end up admitting that some of the best ideas are hatched on fika breaks.

This Walking Tour will concentrate on The Old Town. A city which dates from the 13th century but most buildings are from the 1600s and 1700s. It is a glorious labyrinth of charming cobbled streets, alleyways, faded mustard and rust-coloured townhouses and meeting squares.
Welcome to a walking tour in the historical heart of Stockholm. See the most famous sights such as the Royal Palace, the narrowest alley and St George and the Dragon. The tour includes a visit to the island of Riddarholmen, with a stunning view of Lake Mälaren and the lakeside of the city.
The area of Södermalm has been trumpeted as one of Europe’s “coolest” neighborhoods. Once a upon a time, this borough was home to agriculture and industry, a rural area where the poor working class of the city made their home. Leaving Södermalm we reach Riddarholmen, with a stunning view of Lake Mälaren and the tour will end in Gamla Stan as we will see the most famous sights such as the Royal Palace, the narrowest alley and St George and the Dragon.
Join me for a one hour boat trip on the lake Mälaren to Drottningholm. On board you will be served lunch with beverages. At the Drottningholm we visit the permanent residence of the royal family, and one of Stockholm's three World Heritage Sites. We will also visit the English and French garden as well as the Chinese Pavillon (may - sep only).
