Västerås

Welcome to my green world. I am an authorized and professional Stockholm guide, licensed tourist guide in Uppsala and Västerås and this is also my home town. I was born here and baptized in the Cathedral. I worked during younger years in the City Hall, twice I stood at the scene at Västmanlands theatre. I was a local newspaper distributor during teenagers years and I attended 4 years of study at Rudbeckianska. Västerås is today Sweden´s fifth largest city and most famouse for its cucumbers, toys and airplanes. In Västerås you can wander through Sweden´s oldest school garden and stroll through the cute area of Kyrkbacken. Just outside Västerås you find Tidö Castle, with Europe´s foresmost collection of antique toys. Take part in the Old Norse history with a visit to the ship museum Frösåkers Brygga. here is the country´s largest floating boat museum with over twenty Viking ships and commoners´s boats. We also recommend any of Rederi Mälarstaden´s boat tours and cruises. And do not forget to make a visit to the Steam Hotel.
